Toronto Argonauts Split First Four Games
Toronto have made a mixed start to the season, splitting their first four games as they continue to play on the road due to the World Cup.
The Argonauts endured a miserable defence of the Grey Cup last season, and made a losing start to 2026 as they were downed 37-30 in Montreal.
They rebounded a week later though, as they get off the mark with a 44-24 victory over the Redblacks in Ottawa.
Toronto followed that up week later as they downed defending champions Saskatchewan, 40-34, in what was technically a home game despite it being played in Mosaic Stadium.
The Argonauts failed to make it three-in-a-row though, as they lost 58-36 in Calgary last time out.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2-2 After First Four Games
Winnipeg return home having snapped a two-game skid last weekend to improve to 2-2 on the season.
The Blue Bombers’ run of Grey Cup appearances ended last season, so they entertained the new season with the aim of getting back to the biggest game in Canadian football.
They enjoyed a winning start as they beat the Stampeders in Calgary, 30-28, but they were unable to back that up.
Winnipeg were beaten 37-27 at home by Hamilton, and when they returned from the bye week they fell 23-18 at home to Edmonton.
The Blue Bombers avoided a third straight loss though, as they downed the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton last weekend, 14-13.
