Calgary Stampeders Won Previous Two Games

Calgary head to Montreal having kick-started their season with back-to-back wins to improve to 2-2.

The Stampeders opened the season with home games either side of an early bye week, but they failed to make the most of it.

They dropped the season opener at home to Winnipeg, 30-28, and then suffered a 40-37 overtime defeat when they hosted defending champions Saskatchewan.

Calgary finally got off the mark in Week 4 though, as they went out on the road to down the BC Lions, 41-33.

The Stampeders then backed that up last weekend, as they beat Toronto 58-36 to improve to 2-2.

Montreal Alouettes Off To 3-1 Start

Montreal return from the bye week boasting a 3-1 record, having rebounded from their first defeat of the season before having the weekend off.

The Alouettes kicked off the campaign on the road and enjoyed a winning start as they downed Hamilton in overtime, 30-27.

They backed that up a week later with a 37-30 victory when they hosted Toronto, but failed to make it to 3-0.

Montreal suffered the first loss of the year as they travelled to Edmonton and lost in overtime to the Elks, 32-29.

The Alouettes issued an immediate response however, as they got back to winning ways with a 37-35 success against Ottawa before the bye.
