  • Saskatchewan Roughriders have covered in both of their wins
  • Ottawa Redblacks have lost their first 3 games of the season

Saskatchewan Roughriders Suffered First Loss Last Weekend

Saskatchewan head out on the road looking to rebound from their first defeat of the season.

The Roughriders at out Week 1 with a bye, but when the defending champions did finally kick off their campaign, they picked up from where they left off in 2025.

They opened the season at home to the BC Lions and ran out 31-17 winners in that matchup.

Saskatchewan followed that up a week later as they went out on the road for the first time this season and beat Calgary 40-37 in double overtime.

The Roughriders failed to make it three-in-a-row though, as they were beaten 40-34 by Toronto in a ‘road’ game that was actually played at their Mosaic Stadium home due to the World Cup.

Ottawa Redblacks Still Seeking First Victory Of 2026

Ottawa return home still seeking their first win of the season, having opened with three consecutive defeats.

The Redblacks entered this campaign with high hopes following major offseason changes, but those changes are yet to result in a victory.

They kicked off the season with a home game against Edmonton and suffered a 29-21 defeat at the hands of the Elks.

Ottawa had an early bye the following week, but failed to make the most of their added preparation time as they were beaten 44-24 at home by Toronto.

The Redblacks then fell to 0-3 last weekend as they lost 37-35 to the Alouettes in Montreal.
