Team Spirit vs Team Nemesis Betting Predictions

Team Spirit will clash with Team Nemesis on Tuesday, September 29, in the first round of Group B at BLAST SLAM VIII, in what should be a very one-sided game.

Team Spirit are the reigning The International champions and one of the strongest teams in the world, going against Team Nemesis, who are among the biggest outsiders to win BLAST SLAM VIII.

While there are questions about how Spirit will do with a new player and a new coach, the raw quality on this roster should be enough to convince anyone that Spirit will handle Team Nemesis with ease.

  • Team Spirit with a new player and a new coach
  • Team Nemesis have yet to find success at the highest tier of competitive Dota 2
  • This is Spirit’s game to lose

Team Spirit With High Expectations

Team Spirit won The International in August, which is no small feat. However, BLAST SLAM VIII will be their first match since then and the first under the guidance of a new coach and without Collapse, who has since been replaced by Batyuk.

On paper, Spirit are still one of the most stacked rosters in the scene and arguably one of the best teams in the world. However, there are valid questions about how quickly they’ll adapt to the new faces, and there is a worry about how motivated Spirit will be.

They have a tendency to fall off following The International, as was the case in 2025 and 2024. The big question is how far they will fall.

Team Spirit Squad & Team News

Team Spirit have signed a new coach Illidan, and Batyuk as a replacement for Collapse, who left the team on September 21.

  • Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk
  • Denis "Larl" Sigitov
  • Bohdan "Batyuk" Batiuk

  • Aleksandr "rue" Filin

Team Nemesis Lack Quality

Team Nemesis did not look great at the Esports World Cup in July, where they placed 21st-24th. They have since shown some improvement by winning EPL World Series: Southeast Asia Season 17, and earlier this month, they made some noise at PGL Wallachia Season 9.

In Romania, Team Nemesis fought their way through the group stage, beating 1w Team, MOUZ, and Conventus Stellarum. But they did not make it very far in the playoffs, with defeats against Xtreme Gaming and Natus Vincere.

Team Nemesis are one of the weakest teams attending BLAST SLAM VIII, and while they can be difficult to deal with due to their high aggression, the lack of quality is evident.
