Tauson Aims To Bounce Back
Clara Tauson has continued to struggle with fitness issues since last season, problems that have significantly disrupted her progress. She has already retired from multiple matches this year, including in Rome a few weeks ago.
The Dane also failed to defend important ranking points earlier this season, which pushed her outside the top 20 rankings recently. She currently arrives on a four-match losing streak and has not won a match since Indian Wells a few months ago.
Tauson has played the main draw at French Open five times in her career and successfully cleared the opening round on every occasion. Her best result came last year when she reached the fourth round.

Snigur Looks For Clay Progress
Daria Snigur recently made her top-100 debut after producing five semifinal-or-better finishes this season, including a breakthrough semifinal run at the tour-level event in Cluj-Napoca.
Since the start of the clay swing, however, Snigur has faced some struggles, which is understandable given that clay remains her least preferred surface. Still, she managed to earn her maiden tour-level clay win in Madrid and reached the second round there.
The Ukrainian has attempted to qualify for French Open six times previously, but all ended in the qualifying stages. With her improved ranking and growing confidence after Madrid, she will hope for a stronger showing this week.
