Arthur Gea has surged into the Top 50 and will fancy his chances against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. I think this will be a closely contested match that will go the distance.

Gea Continues to Climb
Arthur Gea won the title in Los Cabos and became a Top 100 player for the first time. He then got to the US Open fourth round as a lucky loser, beaten in 5 sets by Botic van de Zandschulp.
The 21-year-old has competed in one event since, in Beijing where he suffered a narrow 3 sets defeat to Hubert Hurkacz in the second round.
The Frenchman has spent over seven hours on court in Shanghai, beginning with 3 sets victories over Jaime Faria and Ugo Humbert. He shocked Ben Shelton 7-6 7-6 and upset the odds again in the fourth round, getting past Jakub Mensik 7-6 6-4.
Davidovich Fokina Breaks Through
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina finally broke through to win his first ATP Tour title in June, victorious in Mallorca. He proved it was no fluke by winning another title in Chengdu.
The Spaniard got off to a fast start in Tokyo before falling away in a 1-6 7-6 6-4 first round defeat to Matteo Berrettini.
The 27-year-old crushed Jenson Brooksby 6-1 6-3 in his opening match in Shanghai before saving a match point in a 7-6 4-6 7-6 victory over Frances Tiafoe. He looked down and out against Hubert Hurkacz but came through 1-6 6-3 7-6, saving 9/12 break points.
