Roma vs AC Milan Predictions
Goals can usually be relied on when two of Serie A's heavyweights collide. I'm putting my first stake on BTTS, while I also fancy Roma to claim a narrow win at the Olimpico.
Roma Strong in Rome
- Roma won 5 of their last 6 home matches (Serie A)
- Roma have seen BTTS in 15 of their last 18 matches against AC Milan
- AC Milan lost their last 2 away matches against Roma
- AC Milan have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches
- AC Milan scored at least 1 goal in their last 15 matches (Serie A)
AC Milan Boast Strong Recent H2H Record
Roma and AC Milan have met on 15 occasions since 2020. Milan won eight games, while Roma scored three victories, including a 3-1 success in their most recent encounter in Rome last May.
Roma Secure Europa League Points
Roma extended their winning run in the Europa League to four matches with a hard-fought 2-0 win against Stuttgart on Thursday. Niccolo Pisilli's first goals of the season secured the points for I Giallorossi.
Gian Piero Gasperini's side have made a positive start to the new year, with four victories, including three successive Serie A wins, from five games played.
Recent home performances have also been impressive. Roma picked up victories in five of their last six games at the Olimpico. Gasperini's men now sit fourth in Serie A, just four points behind second-placed AC Milan.
AC Milan Maintain Improved Form
AC Milan arrive in Italy's capital after a nervy 1-0 win against Lecce last weekend. On-loan West Ham forward Niclas Fullkrug settled Rossoneri nerves with his first Milan goal, securing the points at San Siro.
Massimiliano Allegri's side are now unbeaten in their last six matches since a limp defeat in the Italian Super Cup last month. Il Diavolo find themselves just three points behind Serie A leaders Inter in a tight Italian title race.
Solid on their travels, AC Milan remain unbeaten in ten away Serie A fixtures this season. Three of their last four road games finished with both teams on the scoresheet, including a 3-1 win at Como earlier this month.
