This will be the first match between Rinky Hijikata and Raphael Collignon.

Collignon in Poor Form

Raphael Collignon has produced some strong performances this year, winning the Pau Challenger before beating Grigor Dimitrov and Flavio Cobolli in Miami.

He won another Challenger in Monza, beat Ben Shelton at Roland Garros and got to the Halle quarter-finals to break into the Top 50.

The Belgian was seeded in Gstaad where he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, the start of a four match losing streak.

Collignon has lost in straight sets in both matches on hard courts, going down to Alexei Popyrin in Montreal and Mariano Navone in Cincinnati.

Hijikata Hot and Cold

Rinky Hijikata got to the Indian Wells fourth round as a qualifier but dropped back out of the Top 100 in June.

His best performance since came at Queen's Club, getting past Jiri Lehecka on his way to the quarter-finals. He took some time to get going in Cincinnati, beating Gael Monfils and Luciano Darderi before going down 6-3 6-4 to Jakub Mensik.

The 25-year-old was too good for Darwin Blanch in Winston Salem, defeating the wild card 6-4 7-6.
