Daniil Medvedev had a great start to the year, winning titles in Brisbane, Dubai and losing the Indian Wells final. He ended the hard court swing with a 19-5 record.

Royer Returns to Hangzhou
Valentin Royer lost 10 of his first 12 matches this year. All of his success has been on the Challenger circuit, reaching the final in Oeiras and winning the title in Kingston.

Royer reached his first and only ATP Tour title in Hangzhou last year, beating Andrey Rublev and Learner Tien before going down to Alexander Bublik.
