Manly Sea Eagles vs North Queensland Cowboys Verdict

Manly suffered a shock loss last week but are value to win by a 13+ points margin at home this week. The Sea Eagles can keep the Cowboys to under 20.5 points to help the margin cause.

  • Manly have won four straight games against North Queensland.
  • The Sea Eagles have won eight of their last 10 games against the Cowboys.
  • North Queensland have scored only four tries in their last three games against Manly.
  • Jason Saab has scored six tries in his last four games against the Cowboys.

Head to Head Stats

Manly hold a 4-1 record across the last five meetings winning the last 4 straight. The last two wins have been particularly one-sided, with the Sea Eagles winning by 32 points in Townsville earlier this season and by 30 points at 4 Pines Park in 2025.

Manly Sea Eagles Form - 3 Defeats In 5

Manly have lost three of their last five, but they still look strong enough for this matchup.

Across their last five they have averaged 21.2 points scored and only 16.4 conceded, and their defence ranks third for points allowed and second for linebreaks conceded.

The home bounce matters here. The Sea Eagles looked lacklustre last week, but the return of Koula adds speed and strike, while Olakau'atu being named to back up gives them more punch on an edge.

North QLD Cowboys Form - Strong Cowboys Win

North Queensland are coming off a strong win over Penrith, but their season has still had a boom-or-bust feel.

Across their last five they have averaged 20.4 points scored and 26.8 conceded, and their defeats have often opened up into big margins.

Tom Dearden being listed among the reserves is worth watching, but the named side still has to prove it can handle Manly's speed and kick pressure at Brookvale. If the Cowboys fall behind, the Under 20.5 team total is very live.
