The Lions finally got off the mark at the start of the month, as they snapped a three-game losing skid with their first win of the campaign.

They sat out Week 1 due to a bye, and when they did finally open the season they lost back-to-back games on the road, falling 31-27 in Saskatchewan and 41-27 at Hamilton.

BC then dropped their home opener against Calgary, 41-33, but were able to avoid slipping to 0-4.
