Alabama are tipped to cover as they rebound from the loss to Georgia.

The Crimson Tide’s perfect start was halted by the Bulldogs, but the offense remains one of the best in the game, and this defense has been rock solid with the exception of one game.

Key Numbers – Can Crimson Tide Improve To 6-1?

  • Alabama have won 5 of their 6 games
  • Alabama have covered in 4 of their 5 wins
  • Alabama have covered in 7 of the last 10 meetings
  • Tennessee have failed to cover in 2 of their 4 home games
  • The Over has cashed in all 5 of Alabama’s wins

Alabama Lead All-Time Head-To-Head; Won Last Meeting

  • Alabama lead the all-time series 61-40-7
  • Alabama won 37-20 when the two teams last met in October 2025

Alabama Suffered First Loss Last Weekend

Alabama head to Tennessee looking to issue an immediate response to last week’s home defeat to Georgia, which dropped them to 5-1.

The Crimson Tide kicked off the season with a 48-10 blowout of East Carolina, before opening their SEC slate with a 45-17 success in Kentucky.

They then downed non-conference opposition in Florida State, 50-36, before returning to SEC duty for their next three games.

Alabama blew out South Carolina at home, 49-18, before heading to ranked Mississippi State for a 56-23 victory.

The Crimson Tide’s perfect start ended last Saturday though, as they fell to a 20-17 defeat at the hands of Georgia.

Tennessee Rebounded From Loss With Back-To-Back Wins

Tennessee come into this matchup having rebounded from their first loss with back-to-back wins to improve to 5-1.

The Volunteers opened the campaign with three non-consecutive matchups, and ran out comfortable winners in all of them.

They blew out Furman 56-9 at home, before winning 45-24 at Georgia Tech and beating Kennesaw State 42-9 at home.

Tennessee then kicked off their SEC schedule with a 20-17 defeat to Texas, but they have rebounded with back-to-back wins.

The Volunteers downed Auburn at home, 24-14, before heading to Arkansas to beat the Razorbacks 24-17.

Verdict

Alabama’s perfect start was halted last weekend, but the Crimson Tide will not be pressing the panic button.

They have the offense to do damage and the defense to slow down this Tennessee group, so we are backing the visitors to get back on track.
