There's more midweek festival action for ITV Racing viewers to enjoy this week, as the Dante Festival begins at York on Wednesday. Five races will be shown live from the Knavesmire on Wednesday, including the Minster Stakes and the Musidora Stakes.

Here are my best betting tips for Wednesday's ITV races at York.

ITV Racing Schedule

ITV Racing Tips - Wednesday 13th May

2:20pm York - Jorvik Handicap Tips

SING US A SONG (11/2) looks to have a strong chance in Wednesday's opener. Ralph Beckett's gelding was snapped up by Wathnan Racing after an impressive win at Sandown last April, but failed to fire at Royal Ascot and didn't fare much better at Glorious Goodwood.

Despite those disappointing performances, Sing Us A Song was backed into 9/4 for a 14-furlong handicap at Haydock last September. Danny Tudhope's mount travelled comfortably behind the leader, hitting the front just in time to repel Klassleader and win by almost a length.

James Doyle was back in the saddle as Sing Us A Song made his reappearance at Epsom two weeks ago, where the top weight ran well to finish a three-length third. Ralph Beckett's horses have been going well of late, and with that run under his belt, I expect Sing Us A Song to be hugely competitive.

2:55pm York - Churchill Tyres Handicap Tips

I'm going to back one on either side of the track here, starting with DARK THIRTY (12/1). Jason Hart's mount finished a close second to Rousing Encore in this race 12 months ago, before following up at Salisbury off a mark of 89.

Results drifted after that, and Dark Thirty was sold to new owners. Hart's mount has been well beaten on both starts for the Easterbys this season, but Dark Thirty should be race-fit, his record at York is good, and he's dropped down to a winnable mark of 87.

AMERICAN STYLE (22/1) has been drawn widest of all in stall 22, but I still fancy Kevin Ryan's four-year-old to go well. American Style started last season with a win at Ripon before two solid efforts at Newmarket, and went on to finish second behind the hugely impressive Prince Of India in the bet365 Handicap at the July Festival.

Ryan's sprinter ran a cracker on his reappearance at Ripon this season, staying on well to finish just a neck behind Kodiac Thriller. Kevin Ryan likes to target the sprint handicaps at York, and conditions should be ideal for the well-handicapped American Style.

3:30pm York - Minster Stakes Tips

QUINAULT (12/1) has won handicaps, Listed and Group Three races on the Knavesmire, and I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if he added this Group Two to his collection.

Stuart Williams' star spent most of last season running over seven furlongs, winning the Criterion Stakes here at York in June. Quinault then dropped back down to six furlongs, placing third in the Champions Sprint, and even raced over five at Newcastle before a valuable victory in Doha back in February.

Marco Ghiani's mount was only beaten a length behind Run To Freedom in the Abernant Stakes, and kept on fairly well in the Palace House on his most recent outing. Quinault never looked entirely comfortable going that fast, so stepping back up in trip seems to be a smart move, and all of the pace appears to have been drawn on his side of the track.

4:40pm York - Consulting Handicap Tips

Richard Hannon's horses usually do well in this handicap, and he'll be represented on Wednesday by FIRST LEGION (10/1). Hannon's colt made a winning racecourse debut on the Knavesmire last year, and found traffic problems when trying to challenge from the rear in a nursery handicap during the Ebor Festival.

Having run in a couple of conditions races at the end of his juvenile campaign, First Legion looked rusty on his reappearance at Newmarket. Shane Foley's mount struggled to settle from stall one on his most recent outing on the Rowley Mile, but picked up well in the closing stages to finish a close fourth behind Ten Carat Harry.

That performance has prompted Hannon to push this son of Mehmas up to seven furlongs for the first time. On breeding, First Legion should be able to get this distance, and Foley's mount is rated five pounds lower than now than when he last came to York back in August.
