As mentioned, it was a dismal A-League season for the Wanderers after they finished bottom of the pile and a whopping 17 points off the finals.
Western Sydney managed just five wins for the season, so former Sydney FC manager Ufuk Talay has a big job ahead of him for this upcoming campaign.
The Wanderers ended the A-League season on a five-game losing streak and will be eager to make amends, starting with the Australia Cup.
The club haven't really impressed in this competition, with their best result being back-to-back semi-final appearances in 2017-18. The Wanderers beat Peninsula Power 3-0 in the R32 last year before suffering a heavy 3-0 defeat to eventual finalists Heidelberg United.
