Roma and Inter Milan have perfect records in Serie A after winning their opening four matches. This should be a fantastic encounter with goals on offer, a draw my value bet in Italy.

Key Stats

  • Roma are undefeated in their last 12 matches.
  • Roma have won their last 9 matches (Serie A).
  • Roma’s Donyell Malen has scored 9 goals in his last 7 Serie A matches.
  • Roma have drawn 6 of their last 14 home matches against Inter Milan.
  • Inter Milan are undefeated in 16 of their last 17 matches.
  • Inter Milan have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 matches.

HTH

Inter Milan have dominated Roma since 2021, winning 10 of the previous 12 encounters. They lead the HTH 100-63 alongside 57 draws.

Roma on Top

Roma finished last season strong and have continued in the same fashion, currently on top of Serie A.

Donyell Malen is in great form, hitting a hat-trick in a 4-0 win against Fiorentina and scoring the first two goals in a 4-0 win at Lecce. The capital club needed two late goals to secure a deserved 2-1 win at Atalanta.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side opened their Champions League campaign with a 1-1 draw at Fenerbahce, a decent result at a difficult venue.

Malen got back on the score sheet in Torino, scoring first in a 2-0 victory. Once again the win was fully deserved, Roma ending with 14-8 shots and 2.04-0.47 xG.

Inter Conceding Goals

Inter Milan have a had a perfect start to their Serie A title defence, winning four straight. There have been some defensive concerns in recent weeks.

Cristian Chivu’s side trailed 2-0 against Napoli, Lautaro Martinez scoring two goals including one in added time to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory.

I Nerazzurri were given a difficult task in their opening Champions League clash. They had 64% possession, 21-16 shots and 1.82-2.91 xG at Real Madrid but fell to a 2-1 defeat in Spain.

Inter trailed 2-0 in a third straight match on Monday. They turned it around in style, beating Udinese 5-3 at San Siro after registering 27-6 shots and 5.57-2.03 xG.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Roma (3-4-2-1) Mile Svilar; Gianluca Mancini, Leonardo Balerdi, Mario Hermoso; Emanuele Lulli, Manu Koné, Bryan Cristante, Nahuel Molina; Paulo Dybala, Matìas Soulé; Donyell Malen

Evan Ndicka is doubtful which could see Leonardo Balerdi continue in central defence. Emanuele Lulli is a chance to continue at right-back and Manu Koné should return in midfield.

Inter Milan (3-5-2) Josep Martínez; Yann Bisseck, Manuel Akanji, Alessandro Bastoni; Andy Diouf, Nicolò Barella, Piotr Zielinski, Curtis Jones, Federico Dimarco; Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martínez

Chivu is likely to recall Yann Bisseck and Federico Dimarco here. Curtis Jones and Hakan Çalhanoğlu are in line to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan in midfield.

Lautaro Martínez will surely start up front, Marcus Thuram and Francesco Pio Esposito battling it out to partner the Argentine striker.
