Roma sit top of Serie A but Como have become one of the top teams in Italy under Cesc Fabregas. I don’t think there will be much in this one, a draw the likely result here.

Key Stats

  • Como have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 matches.
  • Como are undefeated in 8 of their last 9 home matches.
  • Roma have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • Roma are undefeated in their last 13 matches.

HTH

Roma have lost their previous two away games against Como but still lead 16-7 alongside eight draws.

Como Flying High

Como went unbeaten in their opening five games this season which included four straight wins. They picked up a 2-1 victory at Napoli and followed up with an impressive 4-1 victory at Genoa.

Cesc Fabregas’ side made their Champions League debut against Leipzig and made it count. Nico Paz registered two assists in a 4-1 win, the Argentine youngster continuing his rapid rise.

The Lombardy club returned to Serie A with a 2-1 win against Parma before an unlucky 2-0 defeat at Frosinone. Como had 2.12-2.18 xG, Paz taking 10 of their 27 shots.

Roma Top of Serie A

Roma finished last season strong and currently sit top of the Serie A table. They won four straight in the competition, scoring 12 goals with only one conceded.

Donyell Malen scored six of those goals to confirm his status as one of the deadliest strikers in Italy. The capital club opened their Champions League campaign with a 1-1 draw at Fenerbahce.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side went into the international break after a 2-2 draw against Inter Milan. Manu Koné scored twice to establish a 2-0 lead but a draw was the fair result after Roma ended with 1.66-2.86 xG.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Como (4-2-3-1) Jean Butez; Yan Couto, Jacobo Ramón, Trevoh Chalobah, Álex Valle; Máximo Perrone, Lucas da Cunha; Assane Diao, Nico Paz, Martin Baturina; Tasos Douvikas

Robert Sánchez continues to wait for his chance after being signed on loan from Chelsea. Moise Kean is doubtful due to muscle fatigue.

Roma (3-4-2-1) Mile Svilar; Gianluca Mancini, Leonardo Balerdi, Mario Hermoso; Wesley, Niccolò Pisilli, Manu Koné, Nahuel Molina; Paulo Dybala, Matìas Soulé; Donyell Malen

Bryan Cristante has a knee injury and is unlikely to feature here after saying: “I had this knee problem and will try to be back as soon as possible, but it’s unlikely that I will be there for the next couple of games.”

Donyell Malen withdrew from international duty due to a minor knee issue but participated in training and is expected to be available.
