Roma vs Torino Predictions
Roma can maintain their solid form with a likely low-scoring win on Tuesday. Under 2.5 goals is my first bet, while I also have a stake on a narrow home win at the Olimpico.
Roma In Better Form
- Roma won 5 of their last 7 matches (Serie A)
- Roma won 6 of their last 9 matches against Torino
- Torino have seen under 2.5 goals in 6 of their last 8 matches (Serie A)
- Torino lost 6 of their last 9 matches
- Torino have seen under 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 6 matches
Roma Dominante H2H Against Torino
Roma and Torino have met on 13 occasions since 2020. Roma won eight games while Torino picked up three victories.
Rome Maintain Winning Form
Roma turn their attention to the Coppa Italia after a well-deserved 2-0 win against Sassuolo last weekend. Following a goalless first period, second-half strikes from Manu Kone and Matias Soule secured the points for I Giallorossi.
Gian Piero Gasperini's side have been in good form in the past month or so, with five wins and two defeats recorded from their last seven matches. Roma now sit fourth in Serie A, 16 points ahead of Torino.
Low-scoring outcomes have been relatively frequent for the Romans, with only two of eight previous matches delivering more than three goals scored.
Torino Slip in Bergamo
Torino come into Tuesday's Coppa Italia clash after back-to-back Serie A losses in the past week. Marco Baroni's boys slipped to a 2-1 home reversal against Udinese before a tough 2-0 defeat against Atalanta on Saturday.
Il Toro have been far from their best in recent weeks. Torino lost six and won only three of their last nine matches since the end of November. Baroni's side sit 12th in Serie A, nine points above the relegation zone.
Inconsistent on their travels, Torino won three but lost four of their last ten away matches, although they did claim a surprise 1-0 victory when these sides last met at the Olimpico four months ago.
Predicted Lineups and Team News
Roma (4-4-2) Mile Svilar; Daniele Ghilardi, Gianluca Mancini, Mario Hermoso, Mehmet Zeki Celik; Niccolo Pisilli, Manu Kone, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Matias Soule; Paulo Dybala, Evan Ferguson.
Roma boss Gasperini is unable to call on a lengthy list of first-team players this week. Lorenzo Pellegrini, Leon Bailey, Tommaso Baldanzi, Pierluigi Gollini, Artem Dovbyk, Edoardo Bove and Wesley are set to miss out with injury issues, while Bryan Cristante is suspended.
Torino (3-5-2) Alberto Paleari; Ardian Ismajli, Guillermo Maripan, Saul Coco; Valentino Lazaro, Adrien Tameze, Gvidas Gineitis, Nikola Vlasic, Zakaria Aboukhlal; Cyril Ngonge, Duvan Zapata.
Head coach Baroni has a minimum of four expected absentees this week. Marcus Pedersen, Perr Schuurs, Ivan Ilic and Zanos Savva are tipped to remain sidelined for the visitors.
