H2H - Black Cats Have the Edge

Sunderland have a 48-40 advantage against Burnley, alongside 34 draws.

Sunderland Impressive at Home

Sunderland are comfortably in the Premier League’s mid-table. The Black Cats are the only unbeaten home side in the division, winning six and drawing five.

Regis Le Bris’ outfit are undefeated in seven of their last nine in all competitions. Sunderland drew 1-1 at Everton in the FA Cup before securing a 2-1 home victory over Crystal Palace.

The Wearside team lost 3-1 at West Ham last time out. The Black Cats trailed 3-0 at half time and Brian Brobbey scored a late consolation goal.

Burnley Out of Form Away

Burnley are 19th in the Premier League and 10 points from safety. The Clarets have one of the league’s worst away records, losing eight off 11 on the road.

Scott Parker’s side are winless in six consecutive away games, including four defeats. The Lancashire team lost 2-0 at Brighton and drew 1-1 with Liverpool in their last two away fixtures.

The Clarets followed the Liverpool result with a 2-2 home draw against Tottenham. Burnley conceded first and Axel Tuanzebe and Lyle Foster scored before Spurs scored a 95th-minute equaliser.
