Team Yandex vs LGD Gaming Betting Predictions
Team Yandex and LGD Gaming will face off on Thursday, October 8, in the upper bracket quarterfinals of BLAST SLAM VIII, marking a rematch of the PGL Wallachia Season 9 playoffs, which Yandex won.
This game is expected to play out similarly as Team Yandex enter Thursday’s affair as firm favourites. This makes sense, as Yandex are the most in-form team in the world and serious BLAST SLAM VIII title contenders.
LGD Gaming, on the other hand, are a bit of an enigma, having so far beaten only Xtreme Gaming and GamerLegion, and they did not look too convincing in either game. Compared to the two teams LGD Gaming have faced so far, Yandex are an entirely different beast.
- Yandex handled LGD Gaming last month
- LGD Gaming have yet to show much
- This is Team Yandex’s game to lose

Team Yandex Are in Good Shape
Team Yandex have been performing up to par with expectations in this tournament. They topped Group C with two 2-0 sweeps of MOUZ and BetBoom Team, before losing to Team Spirit 1-2 in the Seeding Match.
While losing to Spirit had to sting, it's not too worrying, as Yandex has still retained their tag as one of the world’s best teams and among the main title contenders to win BLAST SLAM VIII. Spirit were the better team on the day, largely thanks to Batyuk, who solo won the second map.
After a tough game against the reigning TI champions, Yandex will now face a team they know very well, and a team they’ve beaten in their last five meetings.

LGD Gaming Have More to Prove
LGD Gaming placed second in Group A, behind PARIVISION, with two wins against Xtreme Gaming. They added a 2-1 victory against GamerLegion in the Last Chance stage.
Beating GamerLegion in the state they’re in is not a massive accomplishment. So it is fair to criticise LGD Gaming a bit for their victory, as it was not a particularly clean performance. GL held on well and arguably should’ve won the game had they not shot themselves in the foot with the Necro pick.
LGD have been holding on relatively well, but so far they’ve beaten only Xtreme Gaming and GamerLegion, which proves nothing.
