Aurora Gaming Have Shown Signs of Life
Aurora Gaming won Group D with wins against GamerLegion (2-0) and Team Liquid (2-1), before losing to PARIVISION in the Seeding Match stage.
With a 2-1 record, Aurora have done enough to qualify for the playoffs, but they’ve also shown some degree of volatility. They have proven to be a competitive side and showed some fight against PARIVISION, but ultimately, Aurora got outclassed.
Their win against Liquid is the most notable success of the tournament so far, and it was a good showing. Some may argue Liquid have made mistakes, but their biggest mistake was getting into brawls with Aurora, who tend to thrive in those situations.
Luckily for Aurora, 1w Team like to do that as well, so they’ll get to play a style they like on Thursday.

1w Team Have More to Show
1w Team placed second in Group B, with one loss against Team Spirit and two wins against Natus Vincere (2-1) and Team Nemesis (2-1). To that, they added a 2-1 win over OG in the Last Chance stage.
The win against NaVi was somewhat gifted, as Natus Vincere threw the second map from what seemed an unlosable position. The loss to Spirit was expected, and the 2-0 sweep of Team Nemesis was a good indication of how much experience plays a role in these big games.
Beating OG is not a major accomplishment either, but 1w Team showed they can force their own game, dragging the maps out and slowly choking out their opponents. The big question is whether the same will be as effective on Thursday.
