T1 vs Paper Rex Betting Predictions
T1 and Paper Rex will clash on Friday, October 9, in the lower bracket of VALORANT Champions 2026 playoffs, where the two VALORANT Champions Tour Pacific representatives will fight for survival.
T1 and Paper Rex have met three times this season. Paper Rex won the first two and lost the most recent meeting in July. Still, they enter this match as favourites.
That makes sense, as Paper Rex are very similar to T1 in how they like to play, but field better players. Paper Rex have also dealt with stronger teams at VALORANT Champions compared to T1, who have realistically not shown much yet.
There’s a world where T1 wake up and surprise Paper Rex, but until they show something in the arena, it is easy to question whether T1 have what it takes to win this VCT Pacific derby.
- Paper Rex have dealt with T1 before
- T1 have yet to show much this tournament
- This is Paper Rex’s game to lose

T1 Look for a Bounce-Back
T1 placed second in Group A, losing to 100 Thieves but beating JD Gaming and FUT Esports. In the first round of the playoffs, T1 got smoked by NRG, who bested the VCT Pacific representatives 2-0, with 13-11 on Lotus and 13-7 on Summit.
It was not the most promising performance from T1, who struggled to keep up with the VCT Americas squad. Stax had a particularly bad showing, posting a 0.60 performance rating, below Munchkin at 0.65. T1’s best performer on the day was BuZz at 0.99.
While T1 deserve some slack for losing against the in-form NRG, things will not get much easier on Friday, when they take on an old rival, Paper Rex.

Paper Rex Can Bite
Paper Rex topped Group C with wins against Team Liquid and G2 Esports, but they failed to keep the win streak going, as PR had to admit defeat to LOUD in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
LOUD took the series lead with 13-8 on Split, where they produced a massive comeback, despite being 4-8 down on Split. A similar thing happened on Sunset, where Paper Rex secured a 9-3 lead, but completely collapsed on the attacking side, dropping the first seven rounds and eventually losing in overtime, 13-15.
Paper Rex are one of the most experienced and accomplished teams in the scene, but their recent performance does not inspire much confidence.
