T1 vs JD Gaming Betting Predictions
T1 and JD Gaming are set to clash on Thursday, October 2, in a Group A elimination match of VALORANT Champions 2026, in their first meeting of the season.
T1 are billed as favourites for this match, which sounds fair. They hail from a stronger region and have looked better in the weeks leading up to VALORANT Champions.
While neither team succeeded in the first round of group play, T1 is objectively the stronger roster, and that quality difference is reason enough to back them in this contest.
- T1 hail from a stronger region
- JD Gaming are unproven against stronger teams
- This is T1’s game to lose

T1 Can do Well
T1 lost to the tournament favourites in the first round of Group A with 0-2 and now have one final chance to keep themselves alive in the tournament.
The VCT Pacific representatives entered the tournament as one of the underdogs; however, they might be slightly underrated.
Looking at their matches ahead of VALORANT Champions, T1 have been showing good things, granted against weaker opponents – so it is hard to put too much faith in T1 and their chances to properly challenge the world’s best teams.
The two poor performances in Santiago and the Esports World Cup do not inspire much confidence about T1’s chances of making it far in this event.

JD Gaming Are Unproven
JD Gaming hail from VCT China, but their playstyle is much different to other Chinese teams. JD Gaming prefer to play a slower, more controlled style of play rather than a super aggressive one, and they’ve had a chance to play against double duelist, aggressive opponents this season, so they have experience facing the opposite style.
This, however, did not help them derail FUT Esports in the first round of Group A, as they failed to control the tempo and lost with 1-13 on Ascent and 10-13 on Summit.
The loss to FUT Esports is worrying, as FUT aren’t a great team. But it is hard to judge JDG based on one game alone.
