Global Esports vs EDward Gaming Betting Predictions
Global Esports and EDward Gaming will face off on Thursday, October 2, in a Group B elimination match at VALORANT Champions 2026.
Global Esports started the tournament with a rough loss against Team Vitality, while EDward Gaming got swept by LOUD. It is hard to judge teams on one game alone, but if we zoom out, it becomes clearer why Global Esports are viewed as favourites here.
Global Esports have been in solid shape in Stage 2; they have a deep map pool, and individually, most of the players are playing well. EDward Gaming, on the other side, have looked a bit iffy in recent months and, without showing any improvement, it is hard to imagine them winning on Friday.
- EDward Gaming have to improve
- Global Esports have tools to succeed

Global Esports Have More to Show
Global Esports lost their first game of VALORANT Champions after admitting defeat to Team Vitality.
It was a close and competitive game, in which Vitality took an early lead with 13-10 on Abyss, Global Esports struck back with 13-9 on Ascent, and lost Summit 11-13.
Not the best look for Global Esports, granted Team Vitality are no pushovers, so GE deserve some slack. They now should feel more confident in their chances of winning, as Global Esports take on EDward Gaming, who on paper appear to be a much weaker team than Vitality.
Global Esports have looked good recently, and their map pool is fairly deep. Even individually, most of the players have been showing up, except for Kr1stal and autumn, who have slowed down a bit of late.
Neither impressed against Vitality, especially autumn, who finished as the lowest-rated player on the server at 0.83.

EDward Gaming Look Rough
EDward Gaming suffered a bad loss in the first round of group play, when they got swept by LOUD with 8-13 on Lotus and 5-13 on Summit.
It was not a great showing from EDG, who did not look particularly great in VCT China ahead of VALORANT Champions either.
In EDward Gaming’s defence, however, they had to play LOUD, who have been in excellent shape, so it is hard to judge the Chinese outfit.
On the other hand, EDward Gaming have been iffy lately, and they’ve not shown much improvement. This makes it hard to believe they have the tools to compete at the top level.
