Paper Rex vs LOUD Betting Predictions

Paper Rex and LOUD will clash on Wednesday, October 7, in the VALORANT Champions 2026 quarterfinals, marking their first clash of the season.

This is arguably the most exciting game of the quarterfinals, featuring the high-flying LOUD and Paper Rex, who have long been regarded as one of the best teams in the world.

Paper Rex are one of the most consistent teams in the world, while LOUD are in excellent shape and look like the hottest team of the tournament.

Qualitatively, there is very little to separate the two teams. However, Paper Rex are a more experienced squad and have been more consistent, which are two strong factors that make them the team to watch on Wednesday.

  • Paper Rex are expected to win
  • LOUD are hard to doubt
  • This can turn out to be a very competitive game

LOUD and Paper Rex Have Yet to Meet This Season

Paper Rex Have Very Few Weaknesses

Paper Rex won Group C with victories against G2 Esports (2-1) and Team Liquid (2-1). While both games were relatively close, Paper Rex once more showed why they’re one of the world’s best teams at delivering in clutch moments – a trait that makes them one of the main title contenders in China.

Looking at Paper Rex’s past performances, they have shown solid games on Lotus and Summit; however, their Summit, Split, Abyss, and Haven need some work. This creates a clear vulnerability PR’s opponents could take advantage of

Paper Rex are not perfect, but they have been the most consistent team of the season. Their Stage 2 performance was not great; however, PR also did not have to deliver in VCT Pacific Stage 2 as they were already qualified for VALORANT Champions.

LOUD Are in Hot Form

LOUD finished Group B in second place, with a 0-2 loss against Team Vitality and two 2-0 sweeps of EDward Gaming and Global Esports. The loss to Vitality was not too promising, but LOUD have looked very good this tournament.

The biggest surprise from LOUD is the emergence of tkzin. He has been more of a liability for LOUD in Stage 2, but he has stepped up big time in this tournament, averaging a 1.13 performance rating, the tournament’s second-highest average combat score of 2.49, and the highest (0.90) kills per round.

With tkzin’s emergence and lukxo still holding the tag of one of the best VALORANT players in the world, LOUD look scary, as few teams in VALORANT Champions have enough firepower to hold LOUD back.
