NRG vs T1 Betting Predictions
NRG and T1 are set to face off on Wednesday, October 7, in the opening round of VALORANT Champions 2026 playoffs, in what promises to be a one-sided game.
Both teams did enough during the group stage to reach the final eight; however, while T1 have had to dig deep to make it out alive, NRG cruised through Group D, beating Nongshim RedForce and Karmine Corp, proving they still have what it takes to make a run for the world championship trophy.
This is a clash between two strong, experienced teams, both of which have shown they have the tools to compete for top spots. T1, however, have looked worse this event, having not shown as high highs as NRG. But that doesn't mean the VCT Pacific representatives should be underestimated.
- NRG went undefeated in the group stage
- T1 have hit a few bumps in the road in Group A
- A close game is not unlikely

NRG Are in Exceptional Form
NRG cruised through Group D of VALORANT Champions 2026, beating Nongshim RedForce and Karmine Corp, both 2-1. While it may be too early to say, NRG appear more than ready to defend their VALORANT Champions throne, having picked up the pace after a solid, yet uninspiring run through the season.
NRG have been solid since the turn of the year, but they have recently looked like an entirely different beast, arguably showing the best form of any team at VALORANT Champions.
Perhaps NRG’s biggest strength is their extensive map pool, as they’ve shown very strong performances on Haven, Sunset, and Lotus, which just so happen to also be T1’s best maps.

T1 Look Solid
T1 qualified for VALORANT Champions playoffs by placing second in Group A, where they defeated JD Gaming (2-1) and FUT Esports (2-0), but lost against 100 Thieves (0-2) in the first round of play.
This is an experienced team, who perform in clutch moments and have enough flexibility to perform well in most situations.
Experience plays a big role, as most of T1's players have previously played at this level, suggesting they should not feel as much pressure.
But at this stage of the tournament, all of the teams have experienced players, and that includes T1’s next opponents, NRG.
