It's been more than six years since the last time these two nations locked horns, and both are entering this quarterfinal clash with high confidence after strong performances on Monday.
Belgium's Confidence is High
After starting the tournament with a 3-1 victory against archrivals the Netherlands, Belgium were beaten by group winners Finland 3-2, which was considered an upset.
They returned to winning ways instantly, claiming back-to-back victories against Denmark and Estonia with a 3-1 scoreline on both occasions, then crushing Serbia in straight sets in the final round.
In the Round of 16, Belgium locked horns with the Czech Republic on Monday, struggled in the first set but stepped up to claim a 3-1 victory.
Slovenia Showing Their Strength When It Matters
After starting the tournament with victories in straight sets against Slovakia and Sweden, Slovenia surprisingly lost to Greece 3-1 in the third round, but responded immediately with a 3-1 win against the Czech Republic.
Slovenia needed at least one point in the final round to secure second position, and they got it against favored Italy, losing a five-set thriller.
The Little Dragons had zero problems in the Round of 16 against neighboring Serbia, winning in straight sets while allowing just 49 points to the opposition, arguably their best performance at the EuroVolley 2026 so far.
