Taylor Fritz is currently on an eight-match winning streak against Alexander Zverev, a remarkable head-to-head advantage that gives him a significant psychological edge. The American has also established himself as one of the tour's strongest grass-court players, reaching the Wimbledon semifinals last year and making another deep run this season. Combined with his excellent form and proven pedigree on the surface, the current odds on Fritz look highly appealing.

Fritz Chases His Biggest Wimbledon Win

  • Fritz holds a 2–5 record in Grand Slam quarterfinals.
  • He owns a 4–17 career record against Top 10 players at Grand Slams.
  • Zverev holds an 11–6 record in Grand Slam quarterfinals.
  • He is currently on a 10-match winning streak in tour-level quarterfinals.

Fritz Eyes Another Deep Run

Taylor Fritz moved into the Wimbledon quarterfinals after defeating Alexander Bublik in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4, 6-4. He fired 23 aces and lost his serve only once during the match.

With this run, Fritz became one of only three players to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals in each of the last three seasons, alongside Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.

The American has now won 11 of his 13 grass-court matches this season, including runner-up finishes in Stuttgart and Halle. Despite missing out on both titles, it marks an impressive turnaround after his fitness struggles earlier in the year.

Fritz has reached four quarterfinals this season and won three of them, converting each of those victories into a final, including his title run in Dallas.

He heads into this clash with a 2-5 career record in Grand Slam quarterfinals. One of those victories came against Alexander Zverev at the 2024 US Open.

Zverev Ends Wimbledon Barrier

Alexander Zverev moved into the Wimbledon quarterfinals after defeating Jiri Lehecka in four sets, 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6. He lost his serve only once and won 95% of his first-serve points during the match.

This is Zverev's first Wimbledon quarterfinal after previously losing all three of his fourth-round matches at the Championships.

The German recently won the Roland Garros title, the biggest achievement of his career. Although he followed it with a semifinal exit in Halle, he has maintained his consistency throughout the season.

Zverev is currently on a 10-match quarterfinal winning streak, including an 8-0 record in 2026, underlining his consistency at this stage of tournaments. His last quarterfinal defeat came against Daniil Medvedev in Beijing last year.

He heads into this clash with an 11-6 career record in Grand Slam quarterfinals, including two victories at this stage earlier this season.
