Prozorova Aims To Follow Up Her Comeback Win
Tatiana Prozorova registered a three-set comeback win to reach the second round in Singapore, 5-7, 7-6, 6-2. She trailed by a set and 1-3 at one stage before making a comeback to seal the match.
This is just her third main-draw win on tour in her career. She previously cleared the first round in Palermo in 2023 and Memphis a few weeks ago but failed to progress further on both occasions. This time, she is looking to reach the quarterfinals.
The 22-year-old produced consistent results on the lower-level circuits earlier this year, but in recent months she has struggled to find that level and has continued to face early-round exits.
She has reached six quarterfinals across all levels this year, with four of them coming in WTA 125-level events.

Eala Carries Breakthrough Form Into Singapore
Alexandra Eala wrapped up her North American swing with impressive results, including winning her maiden tour-level title in Washington, reaching the fourth round in Toronto and the third round at the US Open.
The 21-year-old has posted consistent results throughout the season, aside from some disappointing results during the clay season. Her campaign includes five quarterfinal-or-better results, along with fourth-round appearances in Wimbledon, Indian Wells and Miami.
These results have helped her break into the top 20 in the rankings recently. She is now looking to continue her surge during the Asian swing by producing strong results in the coming weeks.
This is her second appearance in Singapore. Last year, she lost in the final qualifying round to Simona Waltert, but with improved form and rankings, she now looks to make her mark here this week.
