The Czech has shown tremendous resilience throughout the week, but Gauff's greater experience and proven ability at this level should see her progress comfortably.

Sara Bejlek Stuns Keys to Enter the Final Four

Sara Bejlek moved into the semifinal in Cincinnati after defeating Madison Keys from a set down, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. She trailed by a set and a break at one stage before fighting back to complete another impressive comeback.

The 20-year-old has now defetaed four WTA 1000 Champions during her run to the semifinals rhis week. Before this week, she had never registered multiple wins at a WTA 1000 hard-court event in her career.

She enjoyed a breakthrough earlier this year in Abu Dhabi by winning her maiden tour-level title, which helped her make her Top 50 debut. However, fitness issues halted her progress and she struggled significantly until the end of the grass season.

She has raised her level in recent weeks, reaching the quarterfinals in Athens and Prague. This is the second semifinal of her career, and with this run, she will make her Top 30 debut next week.

Coco Gauff's WTA 1000 Surge Continues

Coco Gauff defeated Marta Kostyuk comfortably in straight sets to reach the semifinal in Cincinnati, 6-2, 6-2. Despite losing her serve twice, she remained in control throughout the match.

This is her second semifinal appearance in Cincinnati. Three years ago, she defeated Iga Swiatek in three sets at this stage before beating Karolina Muchova in the final to win her first WTA 1000 title. She will now be looking to repeat that success this week.

This is also her fifth WTA 1000 semifinal of the year, the most of any player this season. She has converted two of her previous four, reaching the finals in Rome and Miami.

She lost significant points during the clay swing after failing to defend her title at Roland Garros, but bounced back impressively with consecutive deep runs, reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon and Toronto.
