Nikoloz Basilashvili is enjoying the conditions in Chengdu this week, giving up one break point in three matches.
Botic van de Zandschulp lost in the first round last year and his unpredictiblity means I am backing Basilashvili at big odds.

Basilashvili on Fire in Chengdu
Nikoloz Basilashvili dropped out of the Top 100 in 2023 and is yet to return.
The Georgian has hardly been a factor in the ATP Tour this year. His best performance came in Rome where he beat Ben Shelton on his way to the third round.
The 34-year-old came to Chengdu after losing 10 of his previous 12 matches. He breezed through the qualifiers, thrashing Hanlei Lu 6-2 6-0 and Federico Cina 6-3 6-2.
Basilashvili upset the odds in the first round, beating Miomir Kecmanovic 7-6 6-4 after winning 71% of his 2nd serves and not giving up a break point.
Van de Zandschulp Hot and Cold
Botic van de Zandschulp has produced some decent performances this year but hasn’t reached a final. He had a strong start the US Open, beating Jan Choinski and Alex de Minaur in straight sets.
The Dutchman came through to beat Zizou Bergs and Arthur Gea in 5 sets, saving a match point against the Frenchman. He was no match for Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals, going down 6-2 7-5 6-1 after winning 38% of his 2nd serves.
The 30-year-old has played one match since, at the Davis Cup where he got past World No.829 Johan Alexander Rodriguez 4-6 6-1 7-5 on a hard court in Den Bosch.
