Linda Noskova defeated Viktorija Golubic without much trouble to reach the fourth round in Beijing, winning 6-2, 6-1. She did not lose her serve and won 86% of her first-serve points during the match.
The Czech is continuing her impressive momentum in China after recently helping her team lift the Billie Jean King Cup in Shenzhen last week by winning all three of her singles matches. She has now won both of her matches in Beijing without dropping more than five games in either.
The 21-year-old struggled to produce deep results early this year and reached only one quarterfinal in the first six months. However, titles in Berlin and Wimbledon helped her make her top-10 debut, while she also reached the quarterfinals at the US Open recently.
In her career, she has reached only four quarterfinals at WTA 1000-level events, with three of them coming in Beijing, including her run to the final last year. It remains her best result at this category so far.
