Felix Auger Aliassime hasn’t won in straight sets this week and Brandon Nakashima is capable of keeping it close on clay. I am predicting another long match at Roland Garros, Auger Aliassime to come out on top.

The Canadian has has featured in one quarter-final on the clay court swing, in Monte Carlo where he went down to Jannik Sinner. He exited early in Madrid, Rome and Hamburg, all three defeats coming against players outside the Top 40.
Auger Aliassime hasn’t done it easy at the French Open, hitting 54 winners and 68 unforced errors in a 4-6 6-4 4-6 6-1 7-6 win over Daniel Altmaier. He lost the first set against Roman Andres Burruchaga before coming through 4-6 6-0 7-5 6-1, saving 6/8 break points.
Nakashima Entrenched in the Top 50
Brandon Nakashima started the year by going 10-7 on hard courts. He lost to Daniil Medvedev in the Brisbane final and got to the semi-finals in Acapulco.
The 24-year-old failed to get past the second round in four events on clay, three of those defeats against players outside the Top 60.
The American thrashed Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2 7-5 6-2 in the French Open first round. His endurance was tested against Luca Van Assche, coming through 6-7 6-4 5-7 6-1 6-3 in just under five hours.
Nakashima has been a Top 50 player since August 2024, his sole ATP Tour title coming in San Diego in 2022.
