Anna Blinkova has shown more encouraging form in recent weeks and will look to overcome Aliaksandra Sasnovich's strong head-to-head record.

A Battle To Revive Two Seasons

  • Blinkova holds a 2–8 record on hard courts in 2026.
  • She has failed to win a main-draw match in four of her last six events.
  • Sasnovich has a 3–5 record in opening-round matches across all levels in 2026.
  • She owns an 8–9 record against higher-ranked opponents this year.

Russian Looks to Regain Momentum

Anna Blinkova is coming off a disappointing quarterfinal loss to Aurora Zantedeschi at the WTA 125 Contrexeville event. Despite the defeat, it was an encouraging result considering her inconsistency and struggles throughout the season.

The Russian has played 19 tournaments this year and registered multiple main-draw wins only twice, with her best result being a semifinal at the WTA 125 Saint-Malo event.

Blinkova will now look to build on that recent run and get her season back on track.

Sasnovich Seeks Season Revival

Aliaksandra Sasnovich is coming off a disappointing grass swing, where all three of her tournaments ended in the qualifying stages. She is still searching for her first tour-level main-draw win since February.

The Belarusian has played 16 events this season, with 13 of them ending either in qualifying or the opening round. Her best results came with a third-round appearance in Brisbane and a quarterfinal at the WTA 125 Paris event.

Those disappointing results have seen her slip close to the top 150 in the rankings. Sasnovich will be hoping for a positive week to revive her season.
