Parramatta Eels vs Gold Coast Titans Preview

Gold Coast Titans can get just their second victory of the season by taking down the Parramatta Eels. They hosts are hit by absentees and Gold Coast can takes advantage in a low-scoring game.

  • The Gold Coast have covered the line in 4 of the last 6 matches against Parramatta.
  • 7 of the last 9 matches between the Gold Coast and Parramatta have produced less than 52.5 points.
  • 4 of 5 Gold Coast matches this season have ended with a game total less than 52.5 points.
  • Philip Sami has 5 tries in his last 6 games against Parramatta

Head to Head

Parramatta did enough to get past the Gold Coast 36-20 in Round 16 last season, putting the game out of reach with two tries in the final 15 minutes of the match.

The head to head record stands at 2-2 in the last four matches since the 2023 season.

Six of the last nine matches between the Gold Coast and Parramatta have gone over the game total.

Parramatta Eels Carrying Injuries

Parramatta are suffering physically carrying a serious list of injuries that seems to extend every week. Their 22-20 loss against Wests hurt them in more ways than one, losing Bailey Simonsson for the season and Jonah Pezet for an extended period.

Pezet’s combination in the halves has allowed Mitch Moses to be at his best and that will stutter now. The Eels couple of wins in 2026 has come off the back of them building pressure and their attack flourishing when it has had its chances. Without Isiah Iongi and Simonsson their class finishers are wearing thin.

The Eels defence has not been holding up at all and will now be under the test even more with new combinations in the backline. Territory and possession will be as important as ever for the Eels.

Gold Coast Titans Giving Away Too Many Points

The Gold Coast are still having the same problems under Josh Hannay that they have had for the last few seasons, giving away too many points (27.6/G) and often under short periods of time where the game simply gets away from them.

With all the focus on their defence the Titans have seemed to forget how to attack as well, scoring over 16 points just once, in their win against the Dragons a couple of rounds ago.

Line breaks are few and far between (3.2/G) and that is likely due to the simple fact that they are struggling to come out of their own end often ranked 16th in the NRL in run metres at 1550 per game.
