Leeds Rhinos vs Leigh Leopards Super League Round 23 Tips & Prediction

Leigh Leopards are backed to stay within the +12.5 line against league leaders Leeds Rhinos in what should be a competitive Thursday night clash.

Leeds have been excellent through the middle and lead Super League for metres, line breaks, tackle breaks and offloads, but Leigh have enough quality on both sides of the ball to keep this close.

Their scramble defence has been strong all season, while Lachlan Lam and Edwin Ipape give them enough attacking threat to punish Leeds if they earn field position.

David Armstrong is also worth backing anytime after scoring six tries in his last five games.

  • Leeds have won four of their last five games.
  • Leigh have won six of their last seven games.
  • Leeds have scored 24+ points in five of their last six.
  • Leigh have conceded 20 points or fewer in five of their last six.
  • David Armstrong has scored six tries in his last five games.
  • Leigh's only defeat in their last seven came against Wigan.

Leeds Rhinos Form Analysis

Leeds remain top of Super League after edging Wakefield 24-22 last week and continue to produce elite numbers through the middle.

Jake Connor's kicking game, Brodie Croft's running threat and Leeds' ability to generate tackle breaks make them difficult to contain, particularly once they build momentum.

Leigh Leopards Form Analysis

Leigh have won six of their last seven and enter this game with plenty of confidence after beating York 22-14.

Their defence should keep them competitive, while Lam, Ipape and Armstrong give them enough attacking quality to threaten if Leeds leave space around the edges.

Leeds Rhinos vs Leigh Leopards Team News

Leeds are without Alfie Edgell for the rest of the season due to a quad injury, while Maika Sivo also remains sidelined. Ryan Hall is expected to return.

Leigh welcome AJ Towse back from a long-term injury, while Robbie Mulhern has been named in the squad but may still require a late fitness test on a back issue.
