GGPoker has announced details of a new tournament type - Bet & Go.
Bet & Go Tournaments are themed to match an upcoming sporting event, such as a football match or a tennis tournament.
GGPoker have launched Bet & Go ahead of the start of the World Cup, which takes place in Qatar in November and December.
The very first Bet & Go tournament will be held on Sunday, November 20th, starting at the same time as the Qatar vs Ecuador fixture at the 2022 World Cup.
Additional tournaments will take place throughout the World Cup.
Bet & Go Tournaments are open to all registered players. New players can register with the GGPoker bonus code NEWBONUS to get a 100% deposit bonus worth up to $600.
The idea is that players can support their preferred teams in unique tournaments, with buy-ins modified by match odds.
Two buy-in options will be available per tournament, one for either opponent in the upcoming event, with each buy-in discounted by each opponent’s odds of winning.
For example, players supporting big favourites will have smaller discounts applied to their buy-in than available to players who choose to support the underdogs.
Another unique Bet & Go twist is that once the sporting event ends, the surviving players that registered in support of the losing team are automatically knocked out of the poker tournament! Luckily, all players knocked out at this point can choose to rebuy at a non-discounted buy-in.
