Australian greyhound scores an amazing win after missing the start
Giving your rivals a head start is never a good move, but it didn't bother Australian greyhound Surreal as she lived up to his name.
Racegoers were left in shock after race favourite Surreal managed to overturn a massive margin at the start to win at Rockhampton on Wednesday, June 17.
The daughter of Magic Sprite walked out of the boxes as her rivals gained a huge early lead from the outset.
But starting slowly and eight lengths behind her rivals was still no problem for Surreal with the rest of the race working out perfectly in her favour as the other dogs bunched up ahead.
With a great turn of foot Surreal was able to work her way through the field, nip through a gap on the final bend and claim an amazing win.
