Sauber will rebrand its Formula 1 team as Stake F1 Team for the 2024 season, it can be confirmed.

The announcement comes following days of speculation about the former Alfa Romeo team and comes 12 months after Stake.com announced details of a "record-breaking" multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership with Alfa Romeo F1.

The FIA’s 2024 entry list had included a new team name listed as 'Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber', but the company had hinted at a further name change.

From the 2024 season, the team will officially be known as 'stakef1team', with Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu to continue as drivers for the campaign.

Both drivers’ contracts are currently scheduled to expire at the end of the season.

A social media post issued by the team just before Christmas following confirmation of the FIA’s entry list for next season said: "If you think you already know, think again."

Hinting at an agreement with Stake.com, the team had added: “It seems our recently released team name has been getting a lot of attention. While we’re not ready to unveil the final result yet, we are aware of what’s at stake. Rest assured, we’re on a mission to unleash the most exciting team identity this team has ever seen. Gone are the days of the short and sweet. We’re cooking up a feast."

New social media handles have been launched under the new stakef1team branding, while Stake.com will launch exclusive Formula 1 promotions for its players throughout the season.
