Växjö Lakers vs Rögle BK SHL Predictions

Växjö Lakers vs Rögle BK SHL Predictions & Betting Tips - Expect More Växjö Chaos

Växjö have turned every SHL game into a goal fest so far, and despite Rögle bringing one of the tighter defensive records into Saturday's clash, we're backing the Lakers to drag them into another high-scoring contest.

There hasn't been much middle ground with Växjö this season. Their five SHL games have finished with 9, 7, 7, 12 and 6 total goals, putting Over 5.5 at a perfect 5/5 and producing an enormous 8.2 goals per game.

It has been a two-way street. Växjö have scored 20 goals but conceded 21, with both teams reaching at least three goals in four of their five games. Over 5.5 is the obvious starting point, while both Växjö and Rögle to score over 2.5 goals takes that wild Växjö game script one step further.

Rögle certainly provide the counterargument. They've conceded just nine goals in five games, with four of their matches staying Under 5.5. The bookmakers also have very little between these teams, so rather than trying to pick a winner, we're backing Växjö's chaotic early-season scoring pattern to win out over Rögle's defensive control.

  • All five Växjö SHL games have gone Over 5.5, averaging 8.2 total goals.
  • Växjö have scored 20 goals and conceded 21 through five games.
  • Both teams have scored 3+ goals in four of Växjö's five matches.
  • Rögle have conceded only nine goals in five games, with four of their five matches staying Under 5.5.

Växjö Lakers Form

Växjö's results tell the story: 4-5 Frölunda, 4-3 Malmö, 3-4 Djurgården, 7-5 HV71 and 2-4 Björklöven. They've scored at least three goals in four of five but have also conceded at least three in every game.

Lucas Elvenes has been at the heart of that attack with 11 points in five games. He has registered a point in all five and produced 2+ points in three of them, including a run of 2, 2 and 5 points against Malmö, Djurgården and HV71. With another open Växjö game expected, we're backing Elvenes to reach 2+ points again.

Olivier Nadeau has been the finisher, scoring five goals in five games and finding the net in four separate matches. With Elvenes creating and Nadeau consistently converting, the latter is our choice to get on the scoresheet again.

Rögle BK Form

Rögle arrive with a completely different profile. Their results have been 2-4 Luleå, 3-1 Djurgården, 1-2 Färjestad, 2-1 Linköping and 4-1 Timrå, with only one of those five games reaching six total goals.

Their defence deserves plenty of respect. Rögle have allowed only nine goals, including just four across their last four matches, making them easily the strongest argument against simply assuming another Växjö shootout.

The attack has been less consistent, reaching three goals in only two of five, but Thursday's 4-1 win over Timrå was their biggest offensive performance of the season. Lubos Horky has three goals through five games, while Fredrik Olofsson has collected five points.
