Dynamo Moscow vs Shanghai Dragons KHL 2026-27 Predictions & Betting Tips - Back the Dragons as Underdogs

Shanghai Dragons are backed to continue their excellent form with a win including overtime and shootouts, while Dynamo Moscow under 2.5 team goals and Under 5.5 total goals complete the card.

Shanghai arrive in Moscow with seven wins from 10 games after thrashing Lada 5-0. Pavel Khomchenko has saved 94% of the shots he has faced this season, helping the Dragons hold five consecutive opponents below three goals.

Dynamo have lost four straight and scored exactly once in each of their latest three home games. They showed more attacking threat in a 4-3 shootout defeat against CSKA, but all three regulation goals came from Maxim Letunov.

Shanghai are playing their third road game in five days, while Dynamo have had additional recovery time. That helps explain the underdog price, but the visitors’ defensive form and superior results make them worth backing.

  • Shanghai have won seven of their opening 10 matches.
  • Dynamo have scored one goal in each of their latest three home games.
  • Shanghai have held five consecutive opponents below three goals.
  • Six of Dynamo’s seven home matches have stayed under 5.5 goals.

Dynamo Moscow Form

Dynamo have slipped to 5-8 following defeats against Salavat Yulaev, Traktor, Torpedo and CSKA.
Their home attack has been the biggest concern. Dynamo scored only once in each of their defeats against Salavat, Traktor and Torpedo, leaving them with 13 goals across seven home games.

Letunov provided a welcome response with a hat-trick against CSKA, helping Dynamo force a shootout after being outscored 3-1 across their previous three matches. However, Nikita Gusev has now left the club, placing further responsibility on Letunov and the remaining forwards.

Shanghai Dragons Form

Shanghai have won four of their latest five games, beating Dynamo Minsk 2-1, Sochi 4-1, Metallurg Magnitogorsk 4-1 and Lada 5-0. Their only defeat was a 2-1 overtime loss against Severstal.

The Dragons have allowed only five goals during that sequence. Khomchenko has provided excellent goaltending, while captain Dmitrij Jaskin leads the forwards with five goals and seven points.

Riley Sutter has added four goals and three assists since returning to the lineup, while Brennan Menell remains the primary attacking influence from the blue line. Shanghai’s balance at both ends of the ice gives them a genuine chance of overcoming their travel disadvantage in Moscow.
