The LIV Golf League returns to action in Mexico with Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City hosting this week's event. Who will emerge victorious come Sunday?

Current top ten in the individual points standings after five rounds:

1. Jon Rahm 579.00 pts
2. Bryson DeChambeau 476.90 pts
3. Elvis Smylie 243.64 pts
4. Anthony Kim 243.64 pts
5. Thomas Detry 221.10 pts
6. Thomas Pieters 164.86 pts
7. Richard Lee 155.08 pts
8. Peter Uihlein 149.78 pts
9. Abraham Ancer 132.51 pts
10. Branden Grace 115.75 pts

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Thomas Detry

Thomas Detry has been in excellent touch in the LIV Golf League this season, placing 7th in Riyadh, 31st in Adelaide, 2nd in Hong Kong, T15 in Singapore, and T3 in South Africa.

Before those results, Detry contested three events on the DP World Tour, finishing T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and T14 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic before missing the cut at the Bahrain Championship.

The 33-year-old will make his debut at LIV Golf Mexico City this weekend.

Detry has strong claims to win the title after his recent performances on the LIV Golf Tour.

Dean Burmester

Dean Burmester has produced consistent results on the DP World Tour and LIV Golf Tour during the past two months, placing T6 in Adelaide, T20 at the Investec South African Open Championship, 7th in Hong Kong, 10th in Singapore, and T6 in South Africa.

Before those results, Burmester struggled with his game, finishing T32 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and T51 in Riyadh.

The South African finished T26 at the 2025 LIV Golf Mexico City event on debut.

Burmester has produced top results lately and can pocket the winner's cheque at Club de Golf Chapultepec this weekend.

Thomas Pieters

Thomas Pieters has been performing well in the LIV Golf Tour League this season, placing T4 in Riyadh, T27 in Adelaide, 3rd in Hong Kong, T6 in Singapore, and T38 in South Africa.

Before those results, Pieters recorded a T9 at the Link Hong Kong Open, a T9 at the Moutai Singapore Open, and T27 at the PIF Saudi International on the Asian Tour towards the end of last year.

The six-time DP World Tour winner finished T15 overall at LIV Golf Mexico City last year.

Pieters is a contender to take the title in Mexico this weekend based on his results this season.

Branden Grace

Branden Grace has been in solid form on the LIV Golf League this year, placing T9 in Riyadh, T8 in Adelaide, T24 in Hong Kong, T33 in Singapore, and T3 in South Africa.

Additionally, Grace has contested two events on the DP World Tour this season, finishing T9 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and T20 at the Investec South African Open Championship.

The nine-time DP World Tour winner finished T26 in Mexico City last year.

Grace has been in contention to win this season and could upstage the others at Club de Golf Chapultepec this weekend.
