The second edition of the Hainan Classic takes place on the DP World Tour this weekend as the action heads to China.

Marco Penge will not be back to defend his title after a three-stroke victory over Sean Crocker and Kristoffer Reitan in 2025.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Oliver Lindell

Oliver Lindell has been in solid form on the DP World Tour in recent outings, placing T15 at the Dubai Invitational, T26 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T9 at the Bahrain Championship, T5 at the Qatar Masters, and T29 at the Investec South African Open Championship.

Before that, Lindell had a fair start to his season, finishing T40 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T46 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, and T32 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.

The 27-year-old missed the cut at the 2025 Hainan Classic on debut.

Lindell can convert his recent results into a victory in China this weekend.

Nathan Kimsey

Nathan Kimsey has been in excellent form on the DP World Tour lately, placing T25 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, T9 at the Bahrain Championship, T24 at the Qatar Masters, T5 at the Magical Kenya Open, T9 at the Investec South African Open Championship, and T12 at the recent Joburg Open.

Before those performances, Kimsey struggled at the beginning of his season, missing the cut at the BMW Australian PGA Championship and the Crown Australian Open before finishing T32 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

The Englishman will make his debut at the 2026 Hainan Classic this weekend.

Kimsey has been knocking hard lately and can win the title at Mission Hills this Sunday.

Frederic LaCroix

Frederic LaCroix has found some form on the DP World Tour lately, placing T24 at the Qatar Masters, T9 at the Magical Kenya Open, and T2 at the Investec South African Open Championship.

Before those results, LaCroix had an average start to his season, finishing T46 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T33 at the Dubai Invitational, T56 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and T41 at the Bahrain Championship.

The Frenchman will make his debut at the 2026 Hainan Classic this weekend.

LaCroix has the form to upstage the others and lift the trophy at Mission Hills come Sunday.

Adrian Otaegui

Adrian Otaegui has rediscovered his touch in his last two starts on the DP World Tour, placing T6 at the Investec South African Open Championship and T6 at the recent Joburg Open.

Before that, Otaegui was not at his best, with results of MC at the Dubai Invitational, MC at the Bahrain Championship, T52 at the Qatar Masters, and MC at the Magical Kenya Open.

The three-time DP World Tour winner finished T11 at the 2025 Hainan Classic on debut.

Otaegui appears to have turned the corner and can feature prominently in China
