Feyenoord vs Como Tips & Predictions – Scoring Draw in the Champions League

Como's form declined in their last two appearances, so I don't trust them to beat red-hot Feyenoord who won four league games in a row. A scoring draw is predicted in Rotterdam.

Key Stats

  • Feyenoord are unbeaten in their last 12 home matches.
  • Feyenoord have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 9 home matches.
  • Como are winless in their last 2 matches.
  • Como have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 matches.

No Previous Meetings

This is going to be the first head to head encounter between Feyenoord and Como.

Hosts Doing Great in the Eredivisie

Feyenoord stood no chance in their UEFA Champions League main stage opening match, grabbing just one consolation goal in a 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in Camp Nou, Sam Steijn appearing on the scoresheet.

Their domestic results have been fantastic throughout September though, crushing Zwolle 7-0 on the road and Utrecht 5-0 at home to maintain the leading position in the Eredivisie.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side returned to action last weekend and claimed another league victory against AZ Alkmaar 2-0, ending this clash with 2.29-0.76 expected goals and 6-1 in goal chances.

Como Off to a Strong Start

Como looked fantastic in their first ever UCL appearance in mid-September, beating RB Leipzig 4-1 in front of the home crowd where Nicolas Paz and Martin Baturina registered one goal and one assist each.

Cesc Fabregas' suffered their first Serie A loss just before the international break, getting beaten by recently promoted Frosinone 2-0 where they missed series of chances (had 27 shots and 2.12 xG).

Como failed to return to winning ways last weekend at home, Roma holding them to a goalless draw. They had 1.34-1.07 xG and 19-9 shots here.

Team News & Predicted Lineups

Feyenoord (4-3-3) Tjark Ernst; Givairo Read, Jeremiah St. Juste, Mika Marmol, Javi Lopez; Gjivai Zechiel, Charles Vanhoutte, Oussama Targhalline; Anis Hadj Moussa, Nacho Ferri, Luciano Valente

Feyenoord have to contend with multiple defensive and midfield absences, as Tsuyoshi Watanabe, Gijs Smal, Jordan Bos, Jakub Moder, Bart Nieuwkoop, and Thomas Beelen remain unavailable due to injuries.

Como (4-2-3-1) Jean Butez; Yan Couto, Jacobo Ramon, Trevoh Chalobah, Alex Valle; Lucas Da Cunha, Luis Milla; Assane Diao, Nico Paz, Martin Baturina; Anastasios Douvikas

Como's star striker Moise Kean suffered an injury on international duty so Anastasios Douvikas is expected to lead the attack.
