Twente could have easily finished the previous season in second place in the Eredivisie and they are deservedly tagged favorites here. Ferencvaros are coming off a disappointing season so a home win is the best bet.

This is going to be the first head to head match between Twente and Ferencvaros.
Last Season Was Successful for Twente
Twente had a good run in the Dutch Eredivisie last season, finishing in fourth place just one point short of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers spot. Defense was their strongest link, having the best record in the league of 40 conceded goals in 34 matches.
Their pre-season results in early July were fantastic, opening with three straight wins over Aberdeen 1-0, Lotte 3-1 and PAOK 3-2, then were held to a 2-2 draw against Gent.
In the final test, Twente locked horns against Gent once again and suffered a 2-0 defeat.
Ferencvaros Eliminated Vojvodina in the Previous Round
Ferencvaros parted ways with Robbie Keane and appointed Balasz Borbely as the new head manager earlier this summer.
They failed to defend the title in the Hungarian top flight last season, finishing just one point behind the champions Gyor, ending their seven-year domination.
Ferencvaros started the new campaign with a 2-1 road win against Vojvodina in the UEL qualifiers, then finished the job at home 4-0. Kristoffer Zachariassen appeared on scoresheet on both occasions.
Team News
Twente's defender Mees Hilgers is out with a cruciate ligament tear. Veteran Wout Weghorst joined the squad this summer and is expected to lead the attack here.
Ferencvaros have no reported injuries or suspensions ahead of this clash. Gabi Kanichowski and Kristoffer Zachariassen are their two most valuable players.
