Poland vs Bosnia and Herzegovina Predictions

Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina begin their UEFA Nations League campaign at PGE Narodowy on Friday.

Poland have home advantage, but Bosnia have enough quality to make this a competitive contest.

BTTS looks like a particularly solid choice, while I also fancy a share of the spoils.

Recent Stats Point to a Score Draw

  • Poland have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 matches
  • Poland drew 2 of their last 4 home matches
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina have seen BTTS in 11 of their last 13 matches
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina drew 6 of their last 9 matches

Poland Lead the Head-to-Head

Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina have met on three previous occasions. Poland claimed home and away victories in Nations League contests six years ago after a 2-2 draw in their only previous encounter in 2010.

Poland Look to Build on Nigeria Draw

Poland face their first international fixture since an entertaining 2-2 friendly draw against Nigeria in June.

Terem Moffi and Paul Onuachu twice put the visitors ahead, but debutant Kacper Potulski levelled before half-time before Przemyslaw Wisniewski struck in stoppage time to rescue a draw.

Jan Urban's side could consider themselves unfortunate not to take more from a competitive contest. The Poles registered more shots (12-9) and a higher xG total (2.61-1.82).

A lack of defensive solidity has been apparent in the Eagles' recent performances. Poland conceded exactly two goals in their last three matches. They also failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 internationals, including their six most recent games.

Those vulnerabilities at the back have ensured inconsistent results for Urban's men in the past year. The Eagles won five, lost three and drew three of 11 games since June 2025.

Poland now return to the Nations League in League B after relegation from the top division two years ago.

Bosnia Bid For Response After World Cup Exit

Bosnia and Herzegovina face their first fixture since a controversial 2-0 defeat against the United States in the World Cup round of 32.

In a fixture that will be remembered for Folarin Balogun's red card and the subsequent rescinding of his suspension, Bosnia suffered a disappointing exit from the competition.

Despite the red card, the US were good value for their win, with Bosnia registering a final xG total of just 0.25.

Sergej Barbarez's men had mixed fortunes in the group phase, picking up a draw against Canada (1-1) before a 4-1 reversal against Switzerland and a 3-1 win against Qatar.

Before their shutout defeat to the USA, the Dragons had lost only one of 11 previous fixtures. They scored at least one goal in ten of those matches.

Bosnia and Herzegovina struggled to make an impact in the 2024 Nations League, when they were relegated from League A.

Barbarez's side collected just two points from a group containing heavyweight opponents the Netherlands, Germany, and Eastern European rivals Hungary.
