Philippines Form - Good Scoring Form
Philippines head into their tournament opener in decent shape having won five of their last six internationals.
Carles Cuadrat’s side were impressive in two friendly wins in June, disposing of both Guam and Myanmar 5-1 in preparation for the ASEAN Championship.
Prior to that, their only other international in 2026 saw the Philippines draw 1-1 away to Tajikistan in Asian Cup qualifying in March.
Myanmar Form - 3 Straight Defeats Remain Inconsistent
Myanmar suffered a 2-1 defeat in their ASEAN Championship opener when going down to Malaysia last week.
Jorn Andersen's side led through Myat Kaung Khant's 10th minute goal, but a Paulo Josue double after the break earned Malaysia the victory.
It was a third straight loss for the White Angels, who suffered two heavy defeats in friendlies in the build up to the tournament.
They lost 5-1 to the Philippines in June and then had the same four-goal margin when losing to ASEAN champions Vietnam in their final warm-up fixture in July.
