Perth Glory vs Macarthur FC Preview

Macarthur FC will be hoping to continue their resurgent form when they travel to face lowly Perth Glory. But Glory are still proving tough to beat, drawing four of their last five games. I think there's value in backing Glory in the Double Chance market, along with another draw.
  • Glory have drawn four of their last five games
  • The most-recent meeting between the teams was a 2-2 draw
  • Macarthur have the second-equal most draws this season with seven
  • Glory are unbeaten in four of their last six home games
  • The last two draws between the teams were by 2-2 scores

Perth Glory vs Macarthur FC Head To Head

Glory are unbeaten against Macarthur this season, coming away with a 2-0 upset win in Campbelltown in Round 6 before a 2-2 draw in Round 16. Pennington was the first goalscorer in both games.

Perth Glory Becoming Draw Specialists

It's ultimately turned into another disappointing season for Perth as they come into this clash down in 11th spot on the ladder with just six wins from their 23 games.

Glory are winless in their last eight games and it comes as no surprise they are all out of the finals picture as a result.

But, as mentioned, Perth can still prove to be a nail in other finals hopefuls, drawing four of their last five - including recent 1-1 and 2-2 draws with Melbourne City and Central Coast Mariners.

Sebastian Despotovski and Adam Taggart gave Perth a two-goal lead last week against the Mariners in Gosford, but they couldn't hold on for all three points.

Macarthur FC Back To Form

Macarthur went through an extremely tough period throughout the middle of the season, which also saw them crash out of Asia.

However, the Bulls have regrouped over the last fortnight and all of a sudden they are back in finals contention, coming into this clash in seventh spot on the ladder, one point behind sixth-placed Melbourne City.

Mile Sterjovski's side have done it the hard way, overcoming the A-League's top two sides in Auckland and Newcastle to get back on track.

After coming away with a 2-1 upset win over Auckland across the ditch, Macarthur held off leaders Newcastle 3-2 last week in Campbelltown, with Mitch Duke scoring a brace and Rafael Duran also finding the back of the net.
