Macarthur vs Auckland Preview
Macarthur have been beaten in just one of their last eight home matches, and having lost in their last six matches overall.
With the Bulls in red-hot form and up to fourth spot, I'm happy to back them in the double chance market as the best bet. I'll also take a odds on a Macarthur win too.
- Macarthur have won 4 of their last 5 games
- Macarthur are unbeaten in 12 of their last 14 games in all comps
- Macarthur are unbeaten in 7 of their last 8 home games
- Auckland lost their last game
Macarthur vs Auckland Head To Head
Auckland have won both previous games with a 1-0 victory and 2-1 success in two meetings last season.
Macarthur In Flying Form
Macarthur are in their hottest vein of form having advanced to the knockout stage of the AFC Champions League 2 and surged into the A-League title race.
The Bulls are on a six-game unbeaten run, including four wins in the last five matches and a run of form that has seen Macarthur jump up to fourth spot on the ladder.
In a positive Christmas period, a come-from-behind win over Brisbane was followed by a point on the road against reigning champions Melbourne City.
Macarthur then claimed a dramatic 5-4 win over the Newcastle Jets on Boxing Day before a less thrilling 1-0 win away to Western Sydney Wanderers on New Year's Day.
Auckland Bid To Bounce Back
Auckland remain top of the A-League ladder despite a shock 3-1 defeat at home to Newcastle Jets on New Year's Day.
The surprise loss - their second of the season to the Jets - was not the start to 2026 the ladder leaders were looking for, but they are still one point clear of Sydney FC at the top.
Either side of their losses to Newcastle, Steve Corica's side put together a three-game winning streak with victories over Wellington Phoenix (3-1), Central Coast Mariners (2-1) and Western Sydney Wanderers (2-0).
