Miami were short priced favourites against Toronto and lost, their defence simply unable to keep clean sheets. Prince Owusu is in great form for Montreal and can score in another exciting clash in MLS.

Key Stats

  • Inter Miami have seen BTTS in their previous 7 games.
  • Inter Miami have seen over 3.5 goals in 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • Inter Miami have seen over 4.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 matches against Montreal.
  • Montreal have seen BTTS in their last 4 matches.
  • Montreal have seen over 3.5 goals in 2 of their previous 4 games.

HTH

Inter Miami have won four straight matches against Montreal to make it 6-6 in the HTH. There has been only one draw, in 2022.

Miami in a Slump

Inter Miami have hit a brick wall, unable to win in five games which includes four defeats. Defence has been a big problem, conceding 2+ goals in seven straight matches.

Guillermo Hoyos’ went out of the Leagues Cup after a 2-1 defeat against Monterrey and 3-2 loss to Leon.

Miami’s form in MLS hasn’t improved, a 4-1 defeat at Nashville followed by a 2-2 draw at Philadelphia where they ended with 5-17 shots.

Lionel Messi got a goal back against Toronto last time out, but it came too late as they went down 2-1.

Montreal Bouncing Back

Montreal have lost nearly half of their MLS matches, Philippe Eullaffroy becoming the new manager in April and steadying the ship.

The Canadian club haven’t lost in August, registering one win and three draws. The victory came at Columbus Crew, Prince Owusu and Noah Streit scoring to earn a 2-1 win.

Eullaffroy’s side drew 2-2 against LA Galaxy on Saturday. Trailing 2-1 with time running out against 10 men, Owusu scored in a fourth straight appearance, making it 13 for the season.
