Haiti did a good job in the American WC qualifiers, losing just one encounter in the final phase. Both them and New Zealand will try to avoid losses and keep their spirits up ahead of the big tournament, so a draw is bet worth backing here.

Key Stats

  • Haiti have drawn 4 of their last 10 matches.
  • Haiti are unbeaten in 15 of their last 20 matches.
  • New Zealand are winless in 8 of their last 9 matches.

No Previous Meetings

This is going to be the first time these two teams lock horns.

Haiti Qualifying for the WC First Time Since 1974

Haiti are making their second World Cup appearance this summer at the 2026 tournament in North America, finishing 1st in Group C in their respective qualifying region ahead of Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua with three wins, two draws and one defeat.

The deciding clash was in mid-November, claiming a 2-0 victory against Nicaragua with Loui Deedson and Ruben Providence finding the net in the first half.

Haiti played two international friendlies so far in 2026, losing narrowly to Tunisia 1-0, while holding Iceland to a 1-1 draw in late March where Wilson Isidor scored a late equalizer.

New Zealand Also Entering WC 2026 as Underdogs

New Zealand also made it to the World Cup 2026, winning the Australian qualifiers with convincing playoff victories against Fiji 7-0 and New Caledonia 3-0.

They participated in a new type of tournament earlier this year called the FIFA Series, starting with a 2-0 defeat to Finland, registering just two shots on target and posting 0.32 xG here.

New Zealand did much better job in the follow up clash against Chile, claiming a 4-1 victory to ultimately win second place in this mini tournament. Jesse Randall was named man of the match with one goal and one assist.
